Bluetooth-Enabled Cameras
When it comes to gadgets, I’m a PURIST.
I’d rather own a separate PDA and separate phone than buy a PDA phone.
But the M600i captured my heart, so here I am with a PDA phone!
I’m also not fond of those MP3 player capable phones, so I bought (or rather my boyfriend bought) myself an iPod video.
But when it comes to cameras, I really insist on buying a stand-alone camera.
Even though camera phones now have the same features such as ISO, zoom, flash and whatnot as stand-alone cameras, there’s still a certain appeal when using a separate camera. They still for me produce clearer and more vibrant photos than camera phones.
But what I love most with phone cams is the convenience of sending your photos to your friends via SMS, IR or Bluetooth!
And if I’m going to own a stand-alone camera, it’s going be quite a hassle to transfer my photos from my camera to the computer and then upload to my phone.
So I thought of the perfect solution.
Why not get a bluetooth-enabled camera?
Apparently, bluetooth-enabled cameras existed as early as 3 or 4 years ago. The first bluetooth camera (Concord Eye-Q Go Wireless digital camera) was created by Concord Camera Corp.
Canon also came out with a bluetooth module for their Powershot S10. And just last year, Kodak came out with their KODAK EASYSHARE V610. The first ever camera to have integrated bluetooth. No adapters needed!

A lot of people are saying that Bluetooth is still crappy and a bit slow with file transfer especially when it comes to large files.
That maybe true. But if I just want to transfer like 2 or 3 photos to my bluetooth-enabled phone, I think bluetooth is the way to go!
What do you think?

I’ve been a bit curious as to how those dual lenses work for this camera. Care to share?

One lens is a 23mm ultra-wide angle, and the other is a 39-117mm optical zoom. And when you zoom in and out, apparently, it automatically switches between the lenses.
Basically the dual lenses just give you a more wide angle view :)
